rystal Palace have made contract offers to Wilfried Zaha and Nathan Ferguson, while Nathaniel Clyne and James Tomkins have signed new deals.

Zaha’s future remains up in the air, with the 30-year-old yet to make a final call as he nears the end of his current Palace deal, which expires at the end of the month. He has been linked with PSG, as well as a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.

Clyne and Tomkins were set to leave on free agents with their contracts due to expire at the end of the month but have now pledged their futures to Palace.

Last week the club announced that Joel Ward would also be extending his stay at Palace, having spent more than a decade at the club.

Right-back Clyne, 32, graduated through the Palace academy and was a first team player between 2008 and 2012, before leaving for Southmpton. After spells at Liverpool and on loan at Bournemouth, he returned to Palace in 2020.

Tomkins signed for the Eagles in 2016 from West Ham, with the 34-year-old a product of the Hammers’ academy.

“I’m very happy”, said former England international Clyne. “It’s the club that I started off at and a club that I love, and I’m looking forward to another year at Crystal Palace.”

Centre-back Tomkins added: “It was an easy decision to stay another year. It’s a joy to be here, and hopefully I can offer a bit of my experience next year to the younger lads.”

Chairman Steve Parish reflected: “Nathaniel and James are highly valued squad members based on their consistent and reliable contributions for the club over many seasons, and these extensions ensure we continue to have a balanced squad.

“It’s important to retain senior players such as Nathaniel, James and Joel Ward who really are part of the DNA of our football club, which will be shared with younger members of the squad as well as new players who will join us.”

Jack Butland, James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic have been released following the expiry of their contracts.
