Tottenham restructure continues as Dean Rastrick leaves role as Academy Manager
Spurs will provide further details on replacement in due course
ottenham academy manager Dean Rastrick has stepped down from his role "to pursue new challenges and opportunities".
Rastrick joined Spurs in 2010 and has run the academy since July 2020 following the departure of John McDermott, who took up a senior position with the Football Association.
Last season, Spurs’ Under-18s and U-17s won the Premier League Cup for their age groups, and chairman Daniel Levy made a point of emphasising new head coach’s Ange Postecoglou’s "strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy" in announcing the Australian last week.
Spurs have recently restructured their academy and recruitment departments, and said they would provide further details on Rastrick’s replacement in due course.
Rastrick said: “I’ve had an amazing 13 years at the Club and feel privileged for the responsibility and support I have been given throughout my tenure – I am immensely proud of what we have achieved.
“At this stage in my career, I feel it is the right time for me to move on and I will always look back at my time at Tottenham Hotspur with great pride and affection.
“It has been an honour to serve this amazing Club and I would like to thank Daniel, the board, current and previous staff and coaches, Club partners, young players and their families for all their support throughout the years, and wish the Spurs team every success on their journeys.”
