Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2018: Claire Foy, Anna Wintour and Rita Ora lead the best dressed on the red carpet

Hollywood's annual awards season is just around the corner, but tonight the great and the good of the theatre world descended on London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane for the 64^th annual London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

Among the first to hit the red carpet was event host Anna Wintour, who arrived with her daughter Bee Carrozzini. The pair looked chic as ever in coordinating floral embroidered gowns.

Next up came Rita Ora in a pale pink archive Thierry Mugler gown. Never one to shy away from a daring look, Ora’s gown was embellished with pale pink feathers that formed a dramatic collar around the singer’s neck.

She was followed by event co-host Claire Foy, who opted for a statement-making off-the-shoulder monochrome Alexander McQueen gown.

Clara Paget meanwhile looked every bit the Hollywood siren in a strapless black Michael Kors Collection gown which she accessorised with a DeBeers diamond necklace and earrings and diamante–encrusted black court shoes.

Joely Richardson dazzled in a delicate long pale pink gown by Needle & Thread. She wore the floral embroidered dress with her hair loose over her shoulders as she posed for pictures with her mother Vanessa Redgrave.

Model Suki Waterhouse was fun and flirty in a puff-sleeve pale blue floral dress from Brock Collection, while writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge stood out in a red floral number by Richard Quinn.

Laura Linney and Sheila Atim both opted to wear Roksanda; Ozark actress Linney chose a black satin gown, while Atim went for a bold purple and orange Grecian gown accessorised with Louboutin heels.

Singer Beverley Knight provided a splash of colour as she walked the carpet in a bright orange trouser suit by Sean Christopher.

The Cry star Jenna Coleman brought the drama in a monochrome look from Dior's Spring 2019 Cruise collection.
