Grand National 2023 live stream: How can I watch Aintree race meeting for FREE on TV in UK today?

intree racecourse has opened its doors for three days of top-class racing this week, culminating in the 175th running of the Grand National this afternoon.

Thursday’s opening day saw hurdling superstar Constituion Hill maintain his unbeaten record with another smooth success in the Aintree Hurdle, while Shishkin stayed on gamely to win the Aintree Bowl stepping up to three miles for the first time.

Friday’s card saw Pic D'Orhy bagged a first Grade One in the Marsh Chase and gave Paul Nicholls a first winner at this year's meeting.

The weather is set fair throughout the meeting, with National Hunt fans expected to flock to the Liverpool track in their thousands for what is always one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar.

Here’s how you can follow all the action at home...

Grand National 2023 dates and start times

The 2023 Grand National Meeting began on Thursday, April 13 and runs across three days, culminating today, April 15.

Each day features seven races, with the first starting at 1:45pm. On Thursday and Friday, the races are run at intervals of 35 minutes, meaning the last race goes off at 5:15pm.

On Saturday, however, the timings are slightly different to allow for the longer build-up and fall-out from the Grand National.

The 2023 Grand National is the penultimate race of the meeting and starts at 5:15pm today, with the final race rounding off the meeting at 6:20pm.

How to watch the Grand National Meeting 2023

TV channel: The only place to watch the meeting in its entirety is on Racing TV, which is a subscription channel. Coverage starts from 10:45am on Thursday and Friday and from 10:30am on Saturday.

On terrestrial TV, ITV1 will show live coverage of five races each day, excluding the first and last races. Coverage starts at 2pm on all three days.

The Opening Show will preview the action on ITV4 at 9:30am on each of the first two days of the meeting, with an extended 90-minute show starting at 9am ahead of the Grand National on Saturday.

Live stream: Racing TV subscribers can stream the action live via the website or app, while ITV viewers can do likewise via the ITVX website and app.
