Kendall Jenner admits she feels ‘out of place’ in the Kardashians and is ‘not built’ for fame

/ Getty Images for The Met Museumendall Jenner has opened up about growing up in the spotlight and admitted she has struggled a bit more with fame than some of her siblings.
The model and 818 Tequila entrepreneur, 27, was just 11 years old when her family’s original reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, first aired.
Kendall starred alongside mum Kris Jenner and younger sister Kylie, plus, older half sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.
Her former Olympian dad Bruce Jenner also appeared on the show before coming out as transgender and transitioning to “Caitlyn” in 2015.
While she acknowledges that being part of “The Kardashians” gave her enormous privilege, the fame side hasn’t always been all that it’s cracked up to be.

/ AP“Since I was really young, I felt out of place in my family,” Jenner told The Wall Street Journal Magazine. “I was born into this life, but I didn’t choose this life. I’m not built for [fame] by any means…. I’m not good at it. I do it, and I’ve learned how to do it.”
“I obviously understand I fall under the umbrella of the Kardashian sisters,” she said. “It’s just weird to me...because I am just like my dad in so many ways. I’m such a Jenner, in my opinion.”
Kendall went on to discuss her experience with paparazzi and confessed she used to “scream” at them.
It has taken her some 20 years, but she says she’s finally “getting used to it now” and “it’s fine and I get it”.
That is in comparison to older sister Kim, who she said openly sought to attract photographers attention while out and about and is naturally “built” for fame.

/ AFP via Getty ImagesWhile she said her situation is “challenging for me a lot more than it’s not,” she clarifies that she is not looking for pity, adding: “I consider myself one of the luckiest people on the planet to be able to live the life that I live…. I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Poor me’ [about the attention], but I do think that it’s pretty intense…. People are more mean to my family in general. They take everything and make it a bad thing.”
