Jota has been struggling with a bruised rib and has been limited in training in the build-up to the game at Anfield.
"Diogo has his back issue, bruised rib,” said Jurgen Klopp on Friday. “He could train yesterday but he didn't do a lot, to be honest. He was not really in danger yesterday for any kind of contact or stuff like this, so we have to see there.”
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is set to miss the game.
Klopp said: “Hendo, we have to see. He had a scan, didn't see the results yet. It will not be a big thing but maybe it's enough to rule out for tomorrow – I don't know that yet.”
Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita and Stefan Bajcetic remain sidelined, while Thiago Alcantara has been ruled out of the season after hip surgery.
Klopp said: "He will have the surgery and is out for the rest of the season."
