Tanczer’s research includes a Refuge-backed study investigating how voice-activated smart home assistants and Internet of Things devices were used in domestic abuse cases by partners to record their victim, deploy spyware or change their physical environment, such as temperature and humidity levels. The study resulted in a cybersecurity resource guide to help abuse survivors fight back against targeting through smart gadgets.

Dave Palmer

His career has included roles at Goldman Sachs, PwC and the London Stock Exchange. In 2018, Ilube was awarded a CBE for services to technology and philanthropy. He has also launched Africa’s first science and technology school for girls, in Ghana.
