est Ham manager David Moyes gave his Europa Conference League winners' medal to his father in a touching moment in Prague.

Moyes, and his father David Snr, celebrated on the pitch after the Hammers' 2-1 win over Fiorentina ended the club's 43-year wait for a European trophy.

Jarrod Bowen's last-minute goal saw West Ham beat a hard-working Italian side on a historic and emotional evening.

David Snr, 87, has been supporting his son throughout West Ham's European run and was also in attendance in Alkmaar for the semi-final victory, which ended in violent scenes as the home supporters attacked the London visitors.

“He was the first one, I thought I should get it round his neck,” Moyes said after the game. “He’s watched a lot over the years and I hope he enjoyed it.”

"[He's] still going strong, still wants to come to the game," he added to BT Sport. "It’s great, it was a great moment to have your family at the game. These sorts of moments as managers don’t come around too often, you have to work very hard.

"The moments you get to celebrate with your family and win in the last minute of the game, it doesn’t happen often. It can go against you but tonight is a brilliant feeling.

"If somebody had said three years ago when I took the job that you’d avoid relegation and finish in Europe and I’ve said you were mad. This competition has been great for us, the players have been remarkable."
